A person,
But sometimes not,
Entirely.
If you are called as I,
Yet live not as prescribed,
Shall I you despise,
Or our shared title?
Still shall not I remind,
My brothers and my sisters,
Till from this life retire,
To keep our eyes on Jesus.
And after that if you shall be stubborn,
I think the best I can react,
Is to remember what I’m called by,
And keep watch on my own desires,
Lest the grave be found for you and I.
