When in sight,

The covenant made,

To love not based on emotional states,

But loving means to show faithfulness,

To a covenant made,

Between an ancient God,

And a people saved,

Sealed with blood,

Just as in the olden days.

Wow,

Wow.

Now my life is seen,

With new lights shone in,

Obedience and otherly love is my part,

Of the covenant,

Which You have sealed,

At the cross,

And Your part to bless,

Part of which is,

Salvation;

To take us to the Promised Land,

And to give it to us to inhabit;

All those who believe in the Name of Jesus,

Shall be saved.

Wow,

Wow.

If only we'd stop reading in our meanings,

The covenants written in another culture,

Then perhaps we'd understand,

A little more.
