then stare and gaze in amazement
You see all the flaws
then repeat a chant to diminish them
And if you can't
you blame it on the weather
the products, the people
the air you breathe
and the food you eat
But even more
More than these
You see a beauty so rare
You find yourself a gem
Your philosopies are the best
even when you don't make sense
Reiterating over and over
illogical conclusions
that have been debated endlessly
by your caring companions
to no avail
To you, it is still logic
because your case is unique
And unique you are
like screws inside that never secured
or a fuse melted so bad
it never recovered
One by one
your companions leave
Tired of the war
they will never win.
