Again I'll hear
Your chattering script
Near in my ear
The little conversations
In the short and long car rides
Are the time taken to take me home
And to places far and wide
If time was turned
In front of me
I know I'd see
Your loving gestures
Hopping around
With little time for break
Working for money
And feeding us bread
You rushed me to the white house
When my breath was but fleeting
You stayed awake through midnight oil
To save this child of stomach poisoning
When I was weak and weary
You were my pillar and my anchor
I was not afraid to cry and shout
In front of my mirrors of life
Who reflected to me
Characters to live by
Who showed me mistakes
I should not repeat in life
Who readily forgave
Whenever I apologised
Who also gave me more than I needed
Even when your pockets grew dry
If time was turned
I'd wish to be born earlier
To spend more time with you
As time as ever
Is always fleeting
One day to pay our final due
But time now is time here
And time as precious as those once were
So pass not by these precious chances
To love and adore those precious to us.
