Ode to Peace.

I watched as a river ran swiftly and deep
Crystal clear and truest blue
Out of this fountain shall I take a sip
The majesty of a water seen through
Whenever these moments I do wish to keep
I hum along a lullaby
A song to accompany me as I sleep
Away from chaos do I shy

Fires do come - boy, do they have wings!
As hot as heat from a fuming volcano
Burning overhead all of my dreams
Purest of crimson this fiery flow
Then shall I panic and burst at all seams
My vulnerabilities and weaknesses show
A glowing splinter my anguish beams
Melting even the thickest of snow

None is as beautiful as you dear Peace
Bar your sister Serenity
When Wisdom your mother calls for me
There I know I have longevity
Seek Peace, seek Peace - Oh! Her love is free
Received when no words are told carelessly
At night I sleep liken to a baby
When I speak with wisdom and not selfishly.
