used to be my pride

but sometimes I feel

that I cannot feel.

I care but I cannot feel

so someone please help

to peel off this layer

of callous skin 

at the outset of

my heart

with maybe some prayer 

that I may care

without limit

until you can

feel all that I

empathise

with you.

I care

so why can't I feel

your emotions

from your position?
