How so with you I'm done
When in this year undone
Returning to square one
I see the tenacity of clashing wills
But when agreed to disagree
love can prevail
I hope this much time within four walls
Would not repeat in history
for a soul so frail
and small
Alas I wish to see the sun
of familiar faces again
That they may shine on me reason
and joy of a visiting friend
Thank you and no thanks
for the undoing and clanks
of chains surrounding social hands
Where another year may bid it end
unless this virus at end repent
Praise God for the links
He's reconnected
for blood runs thicker
than water
And another lesson learned from experience
to serve the younger better
For all the goals I did not reach
I'm sorry for being distracted
As host my place cannot impeach
Another year I'll try again
As long as I live
in another chance
to meet the year after.
