I'm the Problem, It's Me.

Parking outside
among the residents
instead of a nearby parking lot
and receiving a warning
on my windshield
from a resident(?)
to not park there
makes me wonder
was I so selfish to
even think to park there
or would someone else
who was new to town
do the same?

I'd hate to be the former

I can understand why

you did so

These wronged
and condemned
and convicted
feelings to leave here

And so I will leave
because I never intended
to be a nuisance
I should have asked more questions
before arriving

And so I will leave
a note on my windshield
in the future should a
similar circumstance happen
somehow somewhen

— not here, no more

So I can leave
where I am not welcomed

where I am an eyesore

— another stone among hundreds

that probably jam-packed the road

to the end and back and forth

at some time before I came along.
