Often I forget

what I now have

I have not had

and would not have had

if You had not

given to me

Yet I have wanted

to have more than I have

though what I have

is just enough

and a little bit more

Less than my peers

yet still more than many

Enough of my years

what I have is a-plenty.

What profit is it

if I gained the whole world

but lose my own soul?
