Love and Patience.

I thought I knew how to love,

but I was just checking off a checklist

and doing the bare minimum

I thought I was one of the most patient person I knew,

but I was hurriedly doing things

wanting problems to be solved quickly

Never going into the ground deep enough for love to be properly planted.

I thought I was doing well,

and saw my lack as strengths,

and neglected Kingdom come

because my love wasn't enough.

And now I know,

that I've thought wrong.

Lord, teach me how to love.
