Treacherous.

It is a treacherous road we walk on,
Either sides would lead you astray.

Slipping into the first side,
We moan about life,
We say we have strived,
To no avail,
All is lost, all is wrong,
I am terrified, by all my error,
Who can understand,
Who can help me up,
Let me drown tonight,
In my tears.

Stepping up into the second side,
We're sore because of our hurt pride,
We never knew to be not right,
Wisdom abounds in our head of knowledge,
The best methods for all problems in all the ages,
Lie in our minds, the best of sages.

Get up from self-pity,
After you have cried enough,
Come down from self-righteousness,
After your pride has had enough,
Neither is a place to stay,
Unless you want to stay astray.
